Silicone edge tempered film is an improved design of tempered film, which achieves a balance between protective performance and user experience by using flexible materials such as silicone on the edges of traditional tempered film, combined with the hardness advantage of tempered glass body. Its main functions can be expanded from three dimensions: enhancing physical protection, optimizing adaptability, and improving user experience.

The flexible nature of silicone edges can effectively absorb the impact force of phone drops or collisions, especially providing protection for the most vulnerable corners of the phone. Traditional tempered film (hard edge) has consistent overall hardness and is easily cracked when the edges and corners are impacted, while silicone edges disperse stress through elastic deformation, reducing the risk of screen edge cracking. For example, in some designs, silicone edges may be combined with metal protective frames or buffer structures to further enhance impact resistance.
